espantat al veure alguna cosa. S'havia esmunyit a la cuina quan ningú estava
mirant. El felí s'ha menjat el peix del prestatge i ha esbudellat la rajada.
Però quelcom més es va acostar i la mixina va sortir corrents.
Quan veiem la pintura de
Chardin podem imaginar una història en la que estan presents la vida i la
mort. No obstant això, no podem culpar al instint natural de supervivència
dels animals, però potser aquest no és el seu únic verdader significat de la
imatge.

What happens to the cat? It is frightened
seeing something. It slipped to the kitchen when nobody was watching it. The
feline has eaten the fish on the shelf and has removed the guts of the
stingray. But something else came up and the moggy scampered away.
When we watch Charden's painting we can
imagine a story where the life and the death are present. However, we cannot
blame the natural survival instinct of animals, but perhaps this is not its only true meaning of image.
